The Broadway Columbia - a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel

This is the peril of posting reviews of a multi faceted hotel. Location, parking, safety, rooms front end staff all are a wonderful, willing staff. The bar and restaurant are constantly a mess. They have very sweet waitstaff but it’s always like they haven’t been trained. If turnover is an issue - fix the problem. If food quality is an issue - charge more but damn sure stop using frozen crap. If you’re short - get all hands on deck to help. Food at an upper end hotel isn’t a by product, it’s an expectation. Hilton needs to start delivering on that.

If you need a hotel in Columbia, MO, stay at The Broadway. During our 3 nights at The Broadway, we had access to the lovely campuses of Stevens College and the University of Missouri. The staff were unusually cordial. When I was having difficulty figuring out how to use the hotel printer, the manager himself fixed the problem in an instant. The restaurant was great, and the room service was prompt and efficient. The gym is small but sufficient for my needs.

I stayed here for the Columbia Chamber of Commerce 2026 Leadership retreat and was truly impressed. Jared Klarfeld did a phenomenal job ensuring the space was well set up and that every need was met. This was my first time at the hotel, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. The staff were consistently kind and attentive, and the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The food was excellent, with meats cooked to a variety of preferences, which was a thoughtful touch. My room was clean, quiet, and spacious. Parking in the Short Street garage was easy, though the spaces are on the smaller side and could be tight for large vehicles. I have high standards, and this stay absolutely delivered. I would gladly return and recommend it to others.

I finally had a top tier time in Columbia, Missouri because I stayed at The Broadway! My stay was perfection--from the high end appearing lobby, to the well designed room, to the rooftop bar with DJ, and the food. We stepped outside and walked around downtown with ease. Hotel parking was only $5, which is a breeze compared to similar accommodations in larger urban landscapes. The room prices seem to be fairly set for the accommodations, but when the town gets busy, the price difference is very real. We stayed in a king room with a sleeper sofa, which was perfect for our small family. I'm glad I had a chance to experience The Broadway before our time in Columbia is over.

Very friendly, helpful service from guest services and at breakfast. Our room was extremely comfortable. We were within walking distance to everything we wanted to do in downtown Columbia. It was a great stay!

Be aware there are 2 towers with this hotel. Only because its very confusing when you first arrive to have to get off one floor to catch the "bridge" over to the other tower & then get to the floor you need for your room. Lots of walking because of that. Otherwise, the room was clean & spacious & service was great!

I just wanted to stop and say that our stay last night was great but the staff at this hotel was incredible. Wife and I went to a concert and arrived exhausted. I could tell already that I was starting to cramp in my leg. I asked the front desk for a weird request - did they have any mustard packets in the back. The manager on duty went to the kitchen and got me a whole bottle no question. I ended up not needing it through the night but honestly, you don’t get that kind of service anywhere. You should definitely thank your staff who were on duty 2/21/26 for their incredible service and going the extra mile for your guests.

Possibly the best hotel you will stay in. The front desk personnel are so accommodating. Ensuring your stay is top notch. Rooms are spacious and nicely adorned. Beds are very comfortable. And the warm cookies are great.
